China drafts more agchem production OKs
The Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) has issued a draft of its fifth list of agrochemical manufacturing approvals for 2013. The draft list contains 198 approvals, which are usually valid for two years. Some 41 of the draft approvals are for companies based in the coastal Jiangsu province, more than for any other province. Jiangsu is China’s largest pesticide producing region, and home to some of its largest agrochemical companies. The MIIT issued 1,094 production permits during the first half of the year (Agrow No 667, p 18).
