Chemtura AgroSolutions points to record Q2
Chemtura AgroSolutions' sales rose by 20.5% to $135 million in the second quarter of 2013, according to preliminary figures issued by the company. Operating income grew by 39.1% to $32 million and adjusted earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation were up by 20.7% to $35 million. The business delivered record performance despite the delayed start to the northern hemisphere growing season this year, the company points out. It previously forecast that second-quarter operating income would be comparable to or higher than that seen in the same period in 2012 (Agrow No 666, p 2). Chemtura will post its official results on July 30th.
