Bayer debuts Luna Privilege in Italy
Bayer CropScience has launched its benzamide fungicide, Luna Privilege (fluopyram 500 g/litre), in Italy for use on grapevines. The company debuted the suspension concentrate formulation earlier in the summer for the preventive control of grey mould (Botrytis cinerea). The Italian authorities granted registration last year. Fluopyram was first registered in the UK and Turkey two years ago, where it has been introduced as Raxil Star for use on cereals and Luna Experience on fruit and vegetables, respectively. Luna Privilege and other fluopyram-based fungicides were launched in the US last year (Agrow No 634, p 18).
