Redsun's pesticide sales level in first half
Chinese company Nanjing Redsun's pesticide sales inched up by 0.8% to Yuan 1,391 million ($225.2 million) in the first half of 2013. Redsun’s total sales were up 1.6% to Yuan 3,288.2 million ($532.3 million). The company's main product category is that of chemical fertilisers, while agrochemicals accounted for 42% of total sales in the first half. The company's pesticide sales, including those of the herbicide, paraquat, and the insecticide, chlorpyrifos, more than doubled in 2012 (Agrow No 661, p 6). Despite Redsun seeing growth stagnate in the first half of this year, Chinese stock market analysts expect its performance in the second half to show a marked improvement.
