EU GM soybean co-existence guide in progress
The European Co-existence Bureau (ECoB) aims to prepare a first draft of best practice guidelines for the co-existence of genetically modified soybeans by the end of November. A working group held its first discussions earlier this year and a second meeting is expected in the first quarter of 2014. The document will cover commonly agreed, scientifically and technically justified measures to ensure co-existence between GM, conventional and organic soybean production in the EU. No GM soybean line is currently approved for cultivation in the EU.
