Brazil Anvisa OKs cyflumetofen
The Brazilian toxicology authority has added Otsuka Chemical's acaricide, cyflumetofen, to its list of approved agrochemical active ingredients subject to a 30-day comment period. The national health surveillance agency, the Anvisa, approved the ai, and issued the resolution in the official gazette on August 1st. The agency approved the benzoyl acetonitrile acaricide for use on citrus fruits, classifying it a Class I pesticide. Full approval requires registration of three bodies including the Ministry of Agriculture.
