Glyphosate boosts Nantong Jiangshan in H1
The Chinese company, Nantong Jiangshan Agrochemical and Chemical, recorded a 40.1% leap in its first-half agrochemical sales to Yuan 1,180 million ($191 million at the current rate). Growth was propelled by its primary product, glyphosate herbicide, for which sales increased by 34.7% to Yuan 994.3 million ($161 million). Glyphosate accounted for 84% of agrochemical revenues, and was sold at a gross profit margin of 26.5% in the first half. The increase in average price of glyphosate helped Nantong Jiangshan to a further Yuan 219 million ($35.5 million) in increased glyphosate revenues during the first six months, the company asserts.
