Syngenta inks European supply deal for Isagro fungicide
Italian agrochemical company Isagro (Milan) has agreed a deal for Syngenta to distribute its copper-based fungicide, Badge, in 14 European countries. Badge is a patented copper oxychloride and copper hydroxide water-dispersible granule formulation. The combination of two copper salts provides a prompt and high level of control of downy mildew and other fungal and bacterial diseases of grapevines, fruit trees and vegetables, Isagro says. The product is also approved for use in organic crop farming. Syngenta will distribute Badge on an exclusive basis in: Austria, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia and Slovenia, and supply it on a non-exclusive basis in Italy and Spain. In a few selected countries, Syngenta will distribute the fungicide under its own trade mark.
