Rotam gains US dicamba registrations
Chinese agrochemical company Rotam (Hong Kong) has acquired US technical and end-use registrations to the herbicide, dicamba. It plans to introduce a 480 g/litre soluble concentrate formulation as Topeka. Earlier this year, the company received registrations for the dicamba-based herbicide, Oceal, in France, Italy and the UK (Agrow No 669, p 24). Rotam aims to be one of the leading alternative sources of dicamba in the next decade. It is evaluating several dicamba-based mixtures with a view to providing "unique" herbicide solutions with stronger agronomic value to maize growers, the company points out.
