More import approvals for Syngenta's Duracade maize
Syngenta has received import approvals for its genetically modified insect-resistant Agrisure Duracade (5307) maize from the Mexican and South Korean authorities. Duracade produces the Bt eCry3.1Ab toxin for the control of corn rootworms (Diabrotica spp). Syngenta recently introduced 24 Duracade stacked maize hybrids in the US for the 2014 season (Agrow No 670, p 34). Duracade has previously received cultivation approvals in the US and Canada, and import approvals in Australia, New Zealand, Japan and Taiwan.
