EU provisional approvals extended for two new ais
EU member states have been granted permission to extend provisional approvals for the fungicides, benalaxyl-M and valifenalate, until August 31st 2015. The European Commission has agreed the extensions to allow more time for the full EU-wide registration process to be completed (Agrow No 670, p 16). Italian agrochemical company Isagro originally applied for EU approval in 2002 for benalaxyl-M and in 2005 for valifenalate. It sold valifenalate to Belgian crop protection company Belchim earlier this year (Agrow No 662, p 3).
