Bayer launches Serenade Max in Spain
Bayer CropScience has launched its foliar biofungicide/bactericide, Serenade Max (Bacillus subtilis strain QST 713), in Spain for use on grapevines, fruits and various vegetables. Legacy company AgraQuest has previously sold Serenade (also B subtilis strain QST 713) in the EU. Bayer bought the US biopesticide business last year (Agrow No 646, p 2). Serenade Max is a more concentrated version of Serenade and can be applied at half the previous application rate. Bayer notes its five-year stability. The company debuted Serenade Max in Italy earlier in the year (Agrow No 664, p 27).
