Syngenta/Evogene extend research collaboration
Syngenta and Israeli research company Evogene (Rehovot) have extended by three years their research collaboration involving identification of plant genes related to soybean cyst nematode resistance. The two companies agreed a collaboration deal in 2009 (Agrow No571, p 2). The partnership extension follows successful results obtained by Syngenta for candidate genes provided by Evogene as part of the original . Candidate genes have demonstrated reduced nematode infection and have advanced to further testing in Syngenta's soybean pipeline for potential development and future commercialisation of improved soybean lines.
