EU supports German bromadiolone restrictions

EU member states have agreed that Germany should be permitted to restrict use of the non-crop rodenticide, bromadiolone. Germany wants to impose the additional condition that products be restricted to professional use only (Agrow No 673, p 9). The country had to seek permission because it went against the mutual recognition of the first approval granted to Lipha Tech's Maki Pat by the Netherlands, which did not impose the same restriction. Member states and the European Commission agreed that Germany was taking an appropriate risk mitigation measure.
