Australia to explain agchem rule changes
The Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority (APVMA) is to hold information sessions in all of the country's state capitals during February and March 2014 to explain changes in the regulation of pesticides that are due to take effect next year. Parliament approved the Agricultural and Veterinary Chemicals Legislation Amendment Bill in late June amid strong industry criticism (Agrow No 667, p 16). The new rules take effect on July 1st 2014. The APVMA will issue new regulatory content on its website in January, followed by a public consultation period.
