Nufarm invests in Australian canola business
Nufarm is investing some Aus$7 million (US$6.6 million) in a newly opened facility to house the canola business of its seed subsidiary, Nuseed Australia. The facility in Horsham, Victoria brings together Nuseed's logistics, sales, marketing, research and canola breeding activities. "The Horsham innovation centre will help support our product development and breeding programmes, ensuring we have a strong pipeline of elite hybrid seeds that improve yields and deliver significant downstream value," says Nufarm manager director Doug Rathbone. There will be 30 employees based at the facility, which includes offices, warehouses, laboratories and glasshouses.
