Syngenta debuts new potato seed treatment in US
Syngenta has introduced the insecticidal/fungicidal seed treatment, CruiserMaxx Potato Extreme (thiamethoxam 250 g/litre + difenoconazole 124 g/litre + fludioxonil 62 g/litre), for use on potatoes in the US. It follows the approval of the fungicide, difenoconazole, for use on potatoes. The company has sold a combination of the fungicide, fludioxonil, and the insecticide, thiamethoxam, as CruiserMaxx Potato since 2006 (Agrow No 503, p 19). The new version provides broader disease control and will help to prevent Fusarium spp resistance, Syngenta points out. The company sells a range of combination seed treatments under the CruiserMaxx brand for use on various crops.
