IQV plant accredited on cross-contamination prevention
Spanish agrochemical company Industrias Químicas del Vallés (IQV – Barcelona) has gained accreditation for a cross-contamination prevention system at its production facility in Cheste, in the Valencia region. It is the first Spanish firm in the sector to do so. An audit evaluated the production process of copper salts, from evaluating cross-contamination risks and the measures implemented to separate production units to the cleaning methods. It proves that the plant avoids crop protection problems due to contamination from residue impurities arising from synthesis or formulation activities. "The audit results prove that our plant is capable of taking on toll manufacturing projects requiring the highest standards of manufacturing quality," IQV holding company MAT chief executive officer of Pau Relat says. IQV has two Spanish plants, with 30,000 tonnes production capacities of each of copper-based active ingredients, and formulated products.
