MAI sets up global R&D centre in Israel
ChemChina subsidiary Makhteshim-Agan Industries (MAI) is setting up its international hub research and development centre in Israel. The Neot Hovav site will bring together the company's R&D activities in Israel and worldwide including seven product development sites in Israel, Europe, North America and Asia. The centre will employ over 100 researchers, comprising chemical engineers and chemists who will work together with "state-of-art equipment" to formulate innovative crop protection solutions. Work within the laboratories is scheduled to start within 18 months, and the centre to be completed within two years.
