New EU approval conditions for two low-risk ais
New EU approval conditions for the insecticides/acaricides, kieselgur (diatomaceous earth) and rapeseed oil, will apply in member states from next year. The two active ingredients were registered in 2008 under a faster procedure for "low-risk substances, with no conditions attached. The changes follow completion of the final peer reviews of their evaluations. The European Commission issued formal implementation dates after the changes were voted through by the EU regulatory committee in October (Agrow No 675, p 10).
