China's ten-month agchem output stalls
Chinese agrochemical manufacturing saw a slight decline in the first ten months of 2013. Production dipped by 0.3% on the same period last year to 2.6 million tonnes, according to figures from the country's National Bureau of Statistics and reported by the China Crop Protection Industry Association (CCPIA). The figures were collated from data provided by 339 pesticide manufacturers "of a certain scale" across China. In October alone, the decline in production was more marked, with output down 6.1% to 262,000 tonnes.
