Brazil nine-month agchem market up 36%
The Brazilian agrochemical market rose by 36% in the national currency for the first nine months of 2013. Sales amounted to R$15,824 million (US$6,796 million at the current rate), according to the agrochemical industry trade association, the Sindiveg (previously called the Sindag). That even outpaces the stellar one-third growth in the first seven months (Agrow No 676, p 21). September sales alone topped R$4,000 million (US$1,718 million).
