FMC's Focus OK'd for soybeans in Canada

FMC has received expanded Canadian approval for its co-pack herbicide, Focus, for use on soybeans. Focus is a co-pack of Kumiai Chemical's Pyroxasulfone 85 WDG (pyroxasulfone 85%) with FMC's Aim (carfentrazone-ethyl 240 g/litre). It provides extended residual and burn-off weed control, the company says. "The unique characteristics of pyroxasulfone mean growers will need as little as 10% the amount of product compared to other soybean and corn herbicides, which will provide even longer residual weed control," says business manager for eastern Canada Wayne Myers. Focus was introduced for use on maize in Canada last year. It is distributed in eastern Canada by United Agri Products.
