Brazil OKs Syngenta’s benzovindiflupyr fungicide
Brazil has approved Syngenta’s fungicide, benzovindiflupyr (trade-marked as Solatenol), for the control of Asian soybean rust (Phakopsora pachyrhizi). The company has been granted registration of Elatus (benzovindiflupyr + azoxystrobin). The product offers around 7-10 days more control than current standards even in high disease pressure environments, and more consistent performance, when applied as the main control, Syngenta says. Benzovindiflupyr is a pyrazole carboxamide fungicide that acts as a succinate dehydrogenase inhibitor (SDHI).
