Argentina extends grape moth alert
Argentina has extended the state of plant health emergency against European grapevine moths (Lobesia botrana). The national animal and plant health inspection service, the Senasa, has set a new deadline of July 15th. An observation network was implemented in early 2010. Subsequently, the national prevention and eradication programme was approved including the order to apply 29 products, including 19 active ingredients from 13 registrants, including Syngenta, BASF, Dow, DuPont and national suppliers (Agrow No 593, p 19).
