BASF's Kixor gains further US rice approval
BASF has received expanded US approval for its herbicide, Sharpen (saflufenacil - trade-marked as Kixor), for in-crop use on rice. The herbicide can be used pre-emergence or early post-emergence for broadleaf weed control. It was previously approved as a pre-plant treatment for rice (Agrow No 632, p 18). BASF received US approval for Sharpen on maize, soybeans and other arable crops in 2009 (Agrow No 576, p 23).
