Dow gains US approval for sulfoxaflor combination
Dow AgroSciences has received US approval for its sulfoxaflor (trade-marked as Isoclast)-based insecticide, Seeker (sulfoxaflor + lambda-cyhalothrin), for use on soybeans, wheat and canola. The product provides quick knock-down and extended residual control of pests such as aphids, beetles and weevils, the company points out. It acts by contact and ingestion and remains effective after rainfall or irrigation due to "excellent rainfastness", Dow adds. The company received US approval for the sulfoxaflor-based insecticides, Transform and Closer, for use on a wide range of crops last year (Agrow No 664, p 24).
