Brazil issues non-ag glyphosate product amendment
Brazilian authorities are demanding that home and garden glyphosate herbicide-based products should be limited to just 1% of the active ingredient. The national health surveillance agency, the Anvisa, is allowing companies 90 days from the date of the order to adapt their products to comply with the rule. The agency says that higher concentrations are unnecessary, a risk to health and divert use of the ai from agriculture. Registrants who fail to adhere within the period are liable to lose their product approvals.
