Brazil Anvisa OKs Dow’s pyroxsulam
The Brazilian national health surveillance agency, the Anvisa, has confirmed its approval of Dow AgroSciences' herbicide, pyroxsulam. The agency granted conditional listing at the end of last year, pending public comments (Agrow No 679, p 19). It is registered for post-emergence use on wheat. Full registration still requires the assent of the Ministry of Agriculture. The active ingredient was first approved in Chile in 2007 (Agrow No 532, p 21).
