DuPont/BASF settle Optimum GAT dispute

BASF and DuPont have settled their US lawsuits over acetolactate synthase (ALS) herbicide tolerance and agreed to cross-license the disputed patents. The companies sued each other last year over alleged patent infringements related to DuPont’s Optimum GAT technology ( Agrow No 569, p 2). Details of the settlement have not been disclosed.
