Gowan takes over Nisso's Intruder in US
Nippon Soda has granted the US agrochemical company, Gowan (Yuma, Arizona), exclusive US marketing rights to the neonicotinoid insecticide, Intruder 70WSP (acetamiprid 70%), for use on cotton. The product was previously distributed by DuPont, which was granted US rights on cotton in 2003 ( Agrow No 422, p 1). Intruder controls a wide range of cotton pests, including aphids, whiteflies and plant bugs. Gowan intends to continue to position Intruder as a “premier” insecticide for use in 11 cotton-growing states, the company says.
