Ukraine to limit GMO labelling
The Ukraine government has proposed that only food products containing genetically modified organisms should carry labelling on the issue, noting its content, the English language Ukraine newspaper, Kyiv Post, reports. The move would end obligatory labelling of food as free of GMOs. Draft legislation on labelling of GMO content in food had recently entered Parliament. It stated: “All food products in circulation in Ukraine have to include information on GMO content”, the newspaper notes.
