EU recognises complete dossiers for new ais
The European Commission has confirmed the recognition of a complete application dossier from Spanish company Biocontrol Technologies for the biofungicide, Trichoderma asperellum strain T34. This is an early stage in the EU registration process. The dossier will undergo detailed evaluation by the UK as rapporteur member state. The biofungicide is for use in ornamentals and horticulture for the control of Fusarium oxysporum, Rhizoctonia solani and Botrytis cinerea. Biocontrol Technologies is a spin-off from the University of Barcelona. The Commission has also confirmed a complete dossier for Syngenta’s new cereal fungicide, isopyrazam ( Agrow No 585, p 11).
