BASF ups sales potential of new ais
BASF has increased the combined peak annual sales potential of its range of new active ingredients by €100 million ($136 million at the current rate) to €2,200 million ($2,990 million). The upward revision comes largely on account of the introduction of its herbicide, saflufenacil, into new markets and expansion of its fungicide, boscalid, into the field crop market. The company has trade-marked saflufenacil as Kixor. BASF similarly revised peak sales of its new ais by €300 million ($408 million) in March last year ( Agrow No 564, p 3).
