DuPont debuts Altacor in Brazil
DuPont has launched its insecticides, Altacor and Premio (both chlorantraniliprole), in Brazil for use on several crops, including coffee, maize, rice, soybeans and sugar cane, largely for export markets. They are to target 23 pests. Chlorantraniliprole was granted approval in the second half of 2009 ( Agrow No 579, p 24). The active ingredient is already being marketed in Argentina as Coragen ( Agrow No 556, p 23).
