Bayer granted first triafamone approval in S Korea
South Korea has granted the first global approval for Bayer CropScience’s rice herbicide, triafamone. The company received approval for a combination product with a more established active ingredient, Council Complete (triafamone 40 g/litre + tefuryltrione 10 g/litre). It is a suspension concentrate formulation. The market launch in South Korea is scheduled for 2015 with “other major rice-growing” countries in Asia to follow, the company says.
