Summit Agro takes on ISK's Ranman in US
Sumitomo Corporation subsidiary Summit Agro USA (Cary, North Carolina) began selling Ishihara Sangyo Kaisha's fungicide, Ranman 400 SC (cyazofamid), in the US this month. The product is for the control of oomycete diseases such as late blight (Phytophthora infestans) on tomatoes and potatoes, Phytophthora blight on peppers and other vegetables and downy mildew on grapevines and cucurbits. Summit Agro USA will provide sales and technical support for the product. It will be distributed to all areas of the US through Helena Chemical and Tenkoz member companies. FMC introduced Ranman in the US in 2006 under a deal with ISK (Agrow No 497, p 18).
