China's agchem trade up in Q1
China’s agrochemical trade was up across the board in the first quarter of the year, according to data from China’s General Administration of Customs Statistics and reported by the China Crop Protection Industry Association. Exports saw strong double-digit growth in value and volumes. In value terms, exports increased by 17.5% to $1,096 million, while volumes were up 11% to 318,000 tonnes. China exported pesticides worth $3,745 million in 2013, an increase of 31% over the previous year (Agrow No 683, p 23).
