Nissan agchem sales up 11% in fiscal 2014
Nissan Chemical recorded a 10.5% rise in agrochemical sales to ¥39,130 million ($384.6 million at the current rate) in its fiscal year ended March 31st 2014. The company saw expanded sales of its rice herbicide, Altair (metazosulfuron), in Japan and larger exports, mainly of the herbicides, Targa (quizalofop-ethyl) and Permit (halosulfuron-methyl). Sales of Altair and Targa grew by more than 15%, while those of Permit were up by 5-10%. The fungicide, Leimay (amisulbrom), posted a sales increase of more than 15%.
