Italian agchem market dips below €800 m
The Italian agrochemical market reached some €795 million ($1,085 million at the current rate) in 2013, according to the Italian agrochemical industry association, Agrofarma. The measure would equate to a 15% fall in sales over the previous year (Agrow No 678, pp 8-14). Some €47 million ($64 million) was spent on R&D, the association adds. Agrofarma associates accounted for around 95% of the market, it notes.
