MBI debuts Regalia Rx on US row crops
The US biopesticide company, Marrone Bio Innovations (MBI - Davis, California), has introduced its disease resistance activator, Regalia Rx (Reynoutria sachalinensis extract), in the US for use on maize, soybeans, wheat, rice and other row crops. Test marketing last year confirmed that the product improved plant health and yields when combined with standard fungicide programmes, the company points out. It can be applied as a foliar or soil treatment. Trials comparing these treatments are in progress, MBI notes. The company has introduced several products under the Regalia brand since the first version, Regalia SC, was debuted in 2009 (Agrow No 553, p 23).
