EU rapporteur to change for dimethomorph renewal
Proposals to change the EU rapporteur member state handling the renewal application for the fungicide, dimethomorph, have been supported by the EU regulatory committee. The European Commission proposed the change from Poland to the Netherlands in response to a request from the applicant, BASF, and in agreement with the countries concerned. Germany will remain as co-rapporteur. Dimethomorph was re-registered in 2007 and is among 150 active ingredients in the third ai renewal project, dubbed AIR-3. The list assigning rapporteurs and co-rapporteurs for each ai in AIR-3 was originally issued in 2012 (Agrow No 646, p 12). The amendment requires publication in the EU Official Journal before coming into force.
