Bolivian growers demand GMO options

The president of Bolivia’s agricultural chamber, the CAO, has called on the government to approve the use of genetically modified crops in the major cotton, maize and soybean sectors, national magazine Entorno Inteligente (EI) reports. Julio Roda warns that production of the major crops have dropped in the past two seasons. The country has approved several GM soybean lines, which account for 90% of the crop’s production.
