China’s fungicides slump in first half

The majority of China’s “traditional” fungicide products have seen supply outstrip demand so far this year, and prices of the active ingredients have subsequently fallen, reports the China Crop Protection Industry Association. Tebuconazole, triadimefon and prochloraz have seen widespread use to control Fusarium head blight on wheat, but prices have not risen. “Mainstream” fungicides such as chlorothalonil and mancozeb have fallen in price, and face a shrinking market share.
