Smithers moves into new UK facility
The UK subsidiary of US-based contract research organisation Smithers Viscient has moved into a new facility at Harrogate, North Yorkshire. The site will house all of Smithers Viscient’s UK-based scientists and support staff. The Harrogate laboratory conducts a wide range of aquatic and plant studies with expertise in earthworms, arthropods and a variety of fish species, the company says. It purchased the laboratory last year with the intention of renovating it and making it the base of its UK operations (Agrow No 663, p 3).
