EFSA consults on measuring agchems in soil
The European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) has launched a public consultation on draft guidance on the prediction of agrochemical levels in soil. The EFSA has developed a software tool, PERSAM, for predicting these soil concentrations. The document provides an approach for assessing the exposure of soil organisms to active ingredients and their transformation products. Comments are invited by September 4th. The draft guidance is on the EFSA’s website at: http://www.efsa.europa.eu/en/consulations/call/140710.htm.
