Chromatin acquires Production Seeds Plus
The US biotechnology company, Chromatin (Chicago, Illinois), has acquired the US forage sorghum seed producer and supplier, Production Seeds Plus (Plainview, Texas). The acquisition more than doubles Chromatin's storage and seed handling facilities, the company points out. It will provide "important flexibility in producing and managing our seed inventory", says Chromatin's director of plant operations, Tim Wilson. Production Seeds Plus is the third sorghum seed company acquired by Chromatin. It expands the company's business in domestic and international markets. "It aligns with the various moves that have made Chromatin a global leader in sorghum," says chief executive officer Daphne Preuss.
