Isochem divests Framochem to VanDeMark
French fine chemicals company Isochem (Vert le Petit) has sold its Hungarian subsidiary Framochem and its German sales office Isochem Deutschland to US-based pesticide intermediate phosgene manufacturer VanDeMark Chemical (New York). The divestment represents a key milestone in Isochem’s strategic development, focusing on its core business, investing in organic growth and looking for potential acquisitions, it says. Framochem is "one of the biggest independent producers" of phosgene-based fine chemicals globally. The purchase unites two companies with complementary product offerings and creates one of the world’s largest, independent manufacturers of products based on phosgenation chemistry, VanDeMark says.
