Canada to OK Cheminova's flutriafol
The Canadian Pest Management Regulatory Authority (PMRA) proposes the registration of Cheminova's fungicide, Fullback 125 SC (flutriafol), for use on apples, grapevines, strawberries and soybeans. It is a broad-spectrum fungicide for the control of apple scab (Venturia inaequalis), powdery mildews, rusts and other economically important diseases. Cheminova sells flutriafol in the US as Topguard for use on pome and stone fruit, and in combination with fluoxastrobin, as Fortix, for use on maize and soybeans. The PMRA's decision is open to public comment until September 26th.
