Mitsui/Hokusan/Verdesian deal on mycotoxin suppression

Japanese companies Mitsui Chemicals Agro and Hokusan have signed a deal with US crop protection and nutrition company Verdesian Life Sciences (Cary, North Carolina) allowing the company global access to an expanded patented use of its technology to suppress mycotoxin contamination in wheat and barley. Verdesian has received an exclusive licence to commercialise its proprietary systemic acquired resistance (SAR) technologies under a Mitsui/Hokusan patent in all countries except Japan.
